“Be a Neighbor – Feed a Neighbor”
Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update
At the Algonquin Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry, the safety and wellness of our neighbors in need, staff, and volunteers are very important to us. We are constantly monitoring the COVID-19 evolving situation and we’re following the Guidelines of the CDC to keep everyone safe.
Normal Operation hours are in place; however, in order to support the social distancing guidance from the CDC, we will be modifying our distribution process as follows:
Clients
*Pick-up a number from the sign when arriving at the pantry
*Please wait in your car until you see your number called on the now serving sign
*When signing in, you will get your choice of refrigerated and Freezer item, the remaining items will be based on family size and the items pre-boxed. You will return to your car until your delivery is ready
*When your delivery is ready, pull up to the loading zone and a volunteer will load your card with your items
Volunteers
While reporting for your shift, your work will be concentrating on pre-packing items for the clients during this time frame to include finalizing delivery to the client at the exit door. If you are feeling sick, please stay home and call the pantry to let us know.
