“Be a Neighbor – Feed a Neighbor”

How to Run a Successful Food Drive

1. Choose a date for your food drive.

2. Copy, cut out and distribute
fliers. Face to face solicitations are the most effective
way of getting participation. When you drop off the flier at your neighbor's house, take
a moment to explain what you're doing in person. If your neighbor isn't home, leave a
personal note on the flier.

3. Schedule the pick up date for approximately one week after you drop off the fliers.
Weekends work best for pick-ups.
